Aurora Labs Appoints New Chairman

The board of Aurora Labs Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Samantha Tough as Chairman of the Board, effective as of the 12th of June 2017. Current Chairman Mr Paul Kehoe will remain as a non-executive director with Aurora Labs until his planned retirement on 31 August 2017.

Ms Tough is contributing over 15 years’ experience as a company director and Chairman across a diverse range of industries to Aurora Labs, including technology, natural resources and energy.

Ms Tough is currently:

  • Chairman of Aerison Pty Ltd (mining and oil and gas services),
  • Director of Saracen Mineral Holdings Limited (ASX:SAR)
  • Director of Synergy (WA’s largest gas and electricity provider)
  • Deputy chair of WA Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
  • Chairman of a private company establishing a disruptive technology in the security and safety industry.
  • Chairman of the Investment Advisory committee at Bluemount Capital.

She has previously served as:

  • Chairman of Molopo Energy Ltd (ASX:MPO)
  • Australian Grains Champion Pty Ltd
  • Director of Cape plc (CIU:LN)

Her executive roles in the commercial sector include General Manager, North West Shelf at Woodside Energy Ltd, Director of Strategy at Hardman Resources Limited and Senior Vice President of the Strategic Council Natural Resources at the Commonwealth Bank.

Ms Tough is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Jurisprudence from the University of Western Australia.

Ms Tough said, “It is a privilege to be joining Aurora Labs as Chairman as it embarks on its next phase of commercialisation of its highly disruptive 3D metal printing technology.”
